Undercliffe Residents

A Sophisticated Mid-Century Revival

A Vision-Led Transformation

This renovation was all about transformation—not expansion. With no extension required, the focus was on reimagining the interior to reflect the clients’ clear mid-century vision and creating a home their family could move into immediately. Every design move was guided by the desire to personalise the space, improve liveability, and make the most of the existing footprint.

Reconfiguring for Function

The layout was cleverly reconfigured to unlock new functionality. An ensuite was carved out of excess bedroom space, while an old powder room was converted into a full guest bathroom. A tiled plinth connects the new fireplace and TV zone, anchoring the living space with sculptural clarity.
A new skylight floods the ensuite shower with natural light, and the spare bedroom now serves as a sunlit home office—perfect for remote work. The home, once outdated and uninviting, now feels welcoming and sophisticated, with a clear mid-century vibe that perfectly reflects the clients’ style.

Room to Grow

Storage was also a key win, with custom robes and attic storage providing ample space for a growing family. Having moved from a much smaller home, the clients now enjoy a larger, more functional environment tailored to their needs.
Undercliffe Residents is a testament to how thoughtful reconfiguration and stylistic clarity can completely redefine a home—without adding a single square metre
